FAQ
Still not sure if we can be of help? Check through some frequently asked questions and then send us a message.
Be aware that at certain times of the year important jobs need to be carried out on and around the fishery, such as slurry spreading and harvesting silage. These are vital to a working farm but sometimes cause smells and some noise (but are quite fun to watch!). In the summer months, cows graze on the field adjoining the pod site during the day and are brought in to be milked in the late afternoon – usually by quad bike. Cows can be quite inquisitive and might pop their heads over the fence to say hello!
There is often farm activity nearby and complete silence cannot be guaranteed!
Campfires and guests own barbecues are not permitted on-site areas for safety reasons.
There is a designated parking area next to each pod. Only one vehicle per pod, except by prior arrangement.
There is absolutely no smoking (including e-cigarettes) permitted in the pods.
There is an ashtray on the outside patio area, please ensure you put all cigarette ends in the ashtrays provided. Do not leave cigarette ends on your patio or on the decking.
We accept up to 2 small dogs per pod (pods 1 & 2 are our only pet-friendly pods) at a cost of £10 per dog per night payable on-site, you have your own small private garden and you must clean up your own dog’s waste, please note dogs should not be walked around the fishery as there could be fishing hocks around the ponds. Dogs to be kept on a leash at all times as we have free-range chickens around our site.
We do not accept stag or hen parties, but should you wish to book for a special occasion please let us know when you book. The whole site may be hired out by family groups for special get-togethers. Please enquire by phone or email for availability.
